Our name...?

In 1900, Gansevoort Market, at the end of 14th Street, was home to 250 slaughterhouses and packing plants, but by the 1980s, it had become known as a center for drug dealing and prostitution. Today, the Meatpacking District is a very different area, but stills retains some of its past magic and underground nightlife. Located in the area, Meatpacking Productions borrowed its name honoring the neighborhood

The Meatpacking District, in the far northwest part of the Village, has cobblestone streets whose original meatpacking tenants are being replaced by a different kind of meat-market life: velvet-rope clubs, sophisticated restaurants, and trendy-chic shops.

MP is home to more than fifty accomplished artists, writers, directors, and designers, as well as producers, advertising professionals, marketing and media experts. Founded in 2009 with headquarters in New York, MP leverages a flexible, diversified production infrastructure dedicated to making next generation quality entertainment and content.

MP directors, designers, artists, technologists, and animators create and produce film, TV, commercials, on-air graphics, and games for audiences worldwide.
